A brief history of Excel™

Founded in 1929 as Excel™ Brass & Machine in Pekin, Illinois, the company first produced small brass bushings before expanding in the 1970s into bronze wear parts for the mining industry. Known for quality, service, and fast delivery, Excel™ became a trusted source for replacement parts in mining and aggregates. 

Today, Excel™ is recognized as a full-line provider of high-performance crusher replacement parts, mill lift inserts, undercarriage components for shovels, and a growing line of replacement parts for large-scale open-pit mining equipment. In 2006, the company was acquired by FLSmidth A/S and continues to operate as part of the group, doing business as Excel™, while carrying forward its legacy of innovation, quality, and reliability.
