Excel’s UltraNut & UltraBolt Line Continues to Expand

Enews Ultranut MINExpo Success Excels UltraNut & UltraBolt Line Continues to Expand

The UltraNut™ and UltraBolt™ Jack Bolt Tensioning System is proving to be ultra-popular. Based on the initial market reaction to the product line, just released in 2015 with the design for the MP800™, is now in production of design for several of the most popular cone and gyratory models around the world. We are currently in the design-phase, testing, or manufacturing UltraNuts & UltraBolts for: Metso® HP700™/HP800™, HP500™, HP400™, and HP300™ Metso MP1000™/MP1250™; Sandvik® H-3000™/CH430™, H-8800™/CH880™; and AC/Metso Gyratory 60×89.

In fact, just recently at MINExpo in Las Vegas, the Maintenance Superintendent of Freeport McMoRan’s El Abra Mine in Chile was on hand to see Excel’s UltraNut in person, as it was part of our display. According to Technical Support Director, Dave Eagan, Design Engineer, Phil Hopping (Lead Designer of the UltraNut) was present in the booth to demonstrate the advantages and functions of the new Jack Bolt Tensioning System on the MP800 crusher. Afterwards, the Superintendent met with others from Freeport, including the Maintenance Superintendent at Bagdad Mine, in Arizona (Bagdad Mine was instrumental in collaborating with Excel on the first article of the UltraNut, in 2015). He explained how great the UltraNut has been for their operation, and strongly encouraged him to try it out. The Maintenance Superintendent from Bagdad also contacted Excel’s Regional Sales Director, Jim Ulrich, to inform him that there was “strong interest” in the UltraNut from El Abra. In late October, Excel received an order from El Abra for two (2) MP1250 UltraNuts – and a site visit had not even been made, other than their booth visit at MINExpo!

Excel’s UltraNut & UltraBolt Jack Bolt Tensioning System can be applied to any crusher that uses a head nut or locking bolt configuration to retain the mantle to the head during operation. The advantage of our Ultra Series is the quick, safe, and cost-effective liner changes that come with the use of this innovative assembly.

Which crusher units should we focus on next? We would love to hear from you! Do you have a crusher in your operation that would benefit from this amazing locking nut/locking bolt assembly? Let us know and we will be sure to prioritize your interest into a finished product as quickly as possible.
